New Styles in Modern Headboards

Every year there is a new fashion trend that graces the runway and eventually the department store racks. Often it can be difficult to keep up. One trend, however, that does not move quite as quickly as the fashion world is the bedroom furniture industry. For example, there are new trends every few years for headboards and right now there are some great Modern Headboards that will update any boring old bedroom.

One great modern style are Bookcase Headboards. More than just a headboard, they serve a dual purpose. Imagine a wooden bookcase up against a wall. Then imagine the bed pushed up against it. That is the general idea of what these type of headboards look like. You have the added convenience of being able to keep that book you are reading and a book light right above your head for ease of access. It will also save space in your bedroom. Since you do not need to find a different spot to put a bookcase, you can put other furniture, like a chair, in your room.

Another fun modern look is Upholstered Headboards. Having a typical metal or wooden headboard may look alright, but it is not that comfortable. If you like reading while in bed or sitting up in bed watching television, would it not be nice to have something nice to rest your head and back against? Although you could use a bunch of pillows that can be awkward and still not give you the level of comfort you want. These type of headboards can be as cushiony as you like.
