Western Bars and Barstools

Back in the west, a bar was a place where only men could go. They would mosey up to the bar, snag a Wooden Bar Stool order a drink or a shot, and spend their hours away from women-folk, playing poker, or talking with their neighbors about the latest gossip. The bars often even doubled as a place to hold court! Ginny’s Little Longhorn is a bar that has kept that social aspect (only now, of course, women are allowed as well) and has become one of the best places to spend almost any night of the week.

At Ginny’s you’ll find room for one hundred people to stand, and we mean that literally. This unique bar can boast of Authentic Bar Stools, good beer, and decent music. The thing worth seeing at Ginny’s, however, is the Chicken Bingo. The Chicken Bingo happens every Sunday night, when a chicken named Sissy is brought out from his cage and is put in the middle of what is a giant bingo card! The chicken walks around and around on the bingo card while the crowd cheers and waits for the chicken to go to the bathroom on one of the numbers.

Yes, it has to be the weirdest game of bingo that you’ve ever seen. But customers fill in the bar and take up all the Classic Bar Stools in order to take their shot to guess the right number. It’s a far cry from what bars used to be like – or maybe not that far.
